Appalachia's Animal Protection Organization and No-Kill, Care-for-Life Animal Sanctuary, "Eden"    

           ver the last 20 years, The Trixie                                   Foundation has rescued or accepted literally hundreds of unwanted animals from numerous places. Obviously, each of those individual events had a reason for our involvement and help. Whether the dog or cat was found abandoned on a rural country back road in our own Appalachian county (a county that incidentally, doesn't even have a shelter) or, whether we accepted an animal from someone who could no longer provide for its care - The Trixie Foundation has many, many heartwarming situations and stories to tell others about. Thus, through the years, we have published lots of "Trixie Stories" which gives the reader the opportunity to read about the background of some wonderful animals and also come to know just how happy and fulfilling the work and world of an animal sanctuary can sometimes be. Too, sometimes we write about things that impact us all mentally, emotionally or even legally. Truly, life's events and the way in which we each perceive and react tell us a lot about who we are deep down in our hearts and souls. And, what we each do with that knowledge tells us about whom we really are as a human being...
